Positive thoughts

When you have a life-altering moment…it puts alot of things into perspective. Your mindset changes and your priorities are rearranged. You become more aware of what’s really important and what’s not. You learn to appreciate the simplest of things…taking nothing for granted. I thank HIM for every lesson, pain, heartache, failure and experience. Each has helped me pick up the pieces of my life and allowed HIM to mold me into a better person and grow as a person. I especially thank HIM for His protection. HE spared me and my daughters life on 9/6…He let us live …and for this i’m beyond grateful. On this beautiful day I smile because I’m Alive, I’m Happy, I’m Blessed! Happy Wednesday All!

Peace & Love 😉

I’m back!

First off…Good morning or Good afternoon!

It feels good to be back. So much has been going on…
I lost my neighbor, my uncle and my grandmother within a month. I had an upper respiratory infection that lasted two weeks and I just lost another amazing neighbor. On the positive side…I was blessed with a car “beyond grateful!” Currently, I do not have to take the city bus but hey I keep a few dollars just in case. Last, I’m still working towards getting my art and bakery business off the ground. A slow process but it’s going. I miss y’all so much! Oh and I lost 30 pounds, yea!

My little update

Mind over matter
Once accomplished, change occurs
You can do it too 😀

Will be updating the blog soon

Sorry for being M•I•A,

Just want to give you an update.

#1 – I’ve been blessed with a job, part-time but it’s a job and I am thankful. Trust after six years you would be too. 🙂

#2 – I’ve been working on my greeting card line…YAY! I will definitely keep you posted. 🙂

#3 – I’m back in school…will be finished April 2015.

#4 – My next goal is to work on self-publishing a poetry book.

For now, that’s about it. I promise I won’t stay away to long.
Peace & Love

A look back

Happy October or should I say Sweet October.

This year is almost over and as I look back I’ve have some ups and downs…but who doesn’t. Despite it all, I still smile because it could be worse. I like to look at the positive highlights of 2014.

• Volunteered with Ronald McDonlad House, local church – coordinating events for the Youth Ushers, donated tons to the Women shelter and clothes closet.
•Help the fight against MS by doing the 3K walk and was invited to ceremony
•Went on a small cruise for the first time
•Started school for the third time…hey thirds a charm right.
•Finally decided on logos for my businesses
•Started working towards a healthier lifestyle
•Focus on positive and surround myself with positive folks
•and a few more things.

I may not have won a lottery, became famous, or whatever but I did do something that is far better…giving back to the community and working on me. The most amazing part I was able to actually look in the mirror and say “I love me” for the first time in my life. #growth #bethechange #loveselffirst #ignoredoubters #presson #thrive

A Thank You Letter To All My Followers

To my amazing followers “friends”

I just recently received my four year anniversary recognition notice from WordPress and I still can not believe it has been four years. When I first started this blog I just wanted to have a place to release my poetic thoughts with hopes of inspiring at least one person. I would have never guessed that my blog would be what it is today. I am truly honored to have over 400 followers. My blog would not exist if it was not for you. You are the reason that I continue to write. You give me motivation to keep striving to be better. Thank you for believing in me. Finally, I would like to say thanks to each and every one of you for visiting/following my blog, nominating me for awards, commenting and reblogging post that have touched you in some way.

Thank you,

Hello my friends, I would like to ask you a question?

I am in the process of getting my greeting card line going. In the past I’ve created greeting cards for family and friends for special occasions but now I’m trying to build a brand. If your like me, I can never find greeting cards in stores that fit what I’m really thinking. Therefore I choose to make my own. I prefer cards with minimum illustrations. Im leaning towards non-traditional subjects. My question to you are

What types of cards would you like to see on the market?
Do you prefer illustrations or care more about the message or both?
What would you spend for a handmade, eco-friendly, quality card?

I look forward to your feedback!
