Proud to be an Outcast

I am proud to be an outcast
with hopes and dreams
setting trends
instead of worshiping material things

standing out in a crowd of people who
all look the same
standing firm in my beliefs and values
instead of chasing fame

I am proud to be an outcast
who can proudly say that I love and admire Jesus Christ
instead of loving and admiring the worldly things in life.

P.S

Staying true to myself…the only way!

  1. er..
being a follower of god is
    not an outcast is it
    ?
there are millions of you world-wide
some of us have no god and dont like material things
    either

    thanks

    1. @ northernmalewhite I wasn’t stating that if you follow God your an outcast. I was simply stating that “I” am proud to be an outcast. The part about Jesus Christ was just to let my readers know how much “I” love and admire Him…it had nothing to do with being an outcast. Basically I my poem was stating that I would rather set trends instead of being like other people, I would rather stand firm in my beliefs and values…instead of doing what others want me to do or basically following the crowd. Thank you for responding. =)
